- Laundry mischief reported in Perry County - "Vandals hit an outdoor clothesline in Perry County Saturday, according to state police at Newport. Someone removed clothing from the line between 3 and 9 a.m. in the 300 block of West Main Street in New Bloomfield Borough, police said, then threw them in trees. The intruders also removed the pole and threw it into a neighboring property, police said."
- Thief tried to take air conditioner - "Someone pulled an air conditioner out of a living room window at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, in the 200 block of West North Street, according to Carlisle police. The unit was recovered on the sidewalk, police said."
- Police chase bicycle thieves - "A bicycle and tricycle that had been reported stolen were recovered after officers located the bikes and chased the people who were riding them, according to Carlisle police. About midnight Sunday a man came to the station to report that his bike was taken from A Street while he was attending a meeting, police said. While the report was being taken, police located the bike being ridden near the area of West North Street and attempted to stop the rider. The rider and several others cut through yards in an attempt to evade police, and two bikes were found near North Pitt Street after their riders ditched them, police said." [Note, yes, one of them was a tricycle.]
- Break-in reported in Carlisle - "Someone broke into an unoccupied home through a back window, poured paint thinner into a gallon jug of iced tea in the refrigerator and put the jug back in the refrigerator, according to Carlisle police. The home is in the 400 block of North West Street and is undergoing repairs, police said, noting that the break-in happened between 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday."
- Car driven through corn fields in Dickinson Township - "David and Barbara Lillich, and Howard Miller, all of North Dickinson School Road in Dickinson Township, reported that Thursday night into Friday morning a Suburu was driven through corn fields at their respective farms causing damages, according to state police. James Dixon, 23, of Carlisle and Tyler Fox, 19, of Carlisle were arrested in connection with the incident, according to state police. Dixon is lodged in the Cumberland County Prison on $35,000 bail on charges of possession of marijuana and furnishing alcohol to minors, prison officials said."
- Deer target missing from Perry County - "A three-dimensional deer archery target was taken over the weekend from a yard on Red Rock Road in Jackson Township, Perry County. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Newport at 567-3110."
- Vehicle egged in South Middleton - "A vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 400 block of Chestnut Street in South Middleton Township, was struck with an egg sometime between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 249-2121."
